Our history in the Black Earth and Mazomanie areas…

DICK and CAROL pIKE

moved to the Black Earth area in 1966 with a heart for sharing the gospel. Dick was a preacher and was assigned to speak at three different churches in the area (preaching at each church every Sunday). Dick began faithfully preaching the gospel clearly to those who would listen. Many accepted Christ soon afterwards and began seeking to meet together and with other like-minded believers.

At the time that the new believers were looking for a place to meet there was a small group of 8-12 older believers meeting at

BLack earth Congregational church.

Pastor Bernie Norland was ministering to this group of believers and he along with the older generation of believers agreed to let these new believers meet with them.

The group that came brought new life, spiritual leadership, and direction to the church. Pastor Bernie continued to teach and shepherd for several years.

Oscar Hunerdosse

served as the next pastor for years to come. His love for the Lord was demonstrated by his love for the people and communities he lived in. There was a focus on scripture, teaching foundational truths, and growing together in love which resulted in a community of people that truly cared about one another.

More to history to come!
