Our Mission: Reflecting Christ in Every Aspect

Strengthening Believers, Reaching Out with the Gospel

At CSBF, our mission goes beyond Sunday worship; it's about making a tangible difference in the lives of believers and in our wider community. We dedicate ourselves to:

Children laughing and playing in the sprinklers at a CSBF summer event, exemplifying the joy and community spirit at the heart of our church's mission.

  • Strengthening Faith: Through biblical teachings, prayer, and fellowship, we aim to fortify the faith of our members.

  • Spreading the Gospel: We believe in the transformative power of Jesus Christ and actively seek to share the gospel locally and beyond.

What We Believe: Core Tenets of Our Faith

Our beliefs are grounded in a fundamental and literal view of Bible, forming the foundation of all our teachings and activities. Here's an overview of our core beliefs:

  • We believe the Bible, old and new testament to be the Word of God.  It is the final authority for faith and life.

  • We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We accept the Genesis account of creation.  We believe the whole of mankind is totally depraved and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. We believe God created man and woman on the sixth day of the creation week.

  • We believe that God’s design in a marriage relationship is for male and female (as genetically defined) to function according to different divinely ordained roles and responsibilities.

  • We believe that salvation is the gift of God, apart from works or ordinances, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.

  • We believe it is the privilege of all believers who have been born again by the spirit of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to be assured of their salvation at the time they receive Him as their personal Savior.

  • We believe every saved person possesses two natures.  All claims to total eradication of the old nature in this life are not scriptural.

  • We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Lord and Savior.

  • We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowal of all His gifts.  We believe that speaking in tongues and the working of sign gifts gradually ceased as the New Testament was completed.

  • We believe that Christian baptism and communion are commandments of the Lord.

  • We believe in the dispensational view of the Bible interpretation but reject “Hyper-dispensationalism.”

  • We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation coming of the Lord Jesus for His redeemed.  We believe in His subsequent, physical, pre-millennial return to earth with His saints, to establish His Millennial kingdom.

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgement and everlasting punishment.

We welcome all who seek to understand and grow in these teachings, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey.
