Multiple teams of people from Curtiss Street Bible Fellowship (totaling 35) left the Mazomanie, WI area over the weekend to arrive, over 10 hours later, at their destination - Camp Nathanael in Emmalena, KY.
Camp Nathanael, like many other neighboring homes and communities in Eastern Kentucky was struck by a devastating flood near the end of July 2022.
Curtiss Street Bible Fellowship supports Cameron and Grace McIntyre as missionaries at Camp Nathanael. When the need of repair at the camp arose God called the team down to Kentucky for the week of March 20-24th. After getting settled on Sunday the team dug in first thing on Monday morning. They started by cleaning up two pastures that were riddled with trash from the flood and followed that up with the gutting of a house on the camp grounds. Later that afternoon they began re-insulating that same home and put began putting new drywall up.
Many members of the team were involved in stuffing newsletters on behalf of the camp. They stuffed and placed addresses on over 2000 envelopes! They also cleaned and cut up some trees that needed attention and started a second floor deck (see below). What an incredible first day!
They’ve developed a schedule of working for about four hours in the morning until lunch and then four hours in the afternoon until supper time. Many of the ladies have been working to prepare meals but from pictures it looks like everyone has gotten to take a turn in the kitchen. Please pray for strength and safety for the team. Please also pray that they would work as a team and glorify God in all that they do.
